Many citizens have asked us why are we presenting for Wales Eden Communities & Grow Wild on Friday 18th January 2019. Plus what is the link between us and them?
As a result we thought we should highlight the great community work of the organisations involved.
The workshop, aims to introduce the 5 Ways of Wellbeing and will discuss. Both how you help your community. Additionally how your community can help you achieve these. We hope to bring together like-minded community do-ers. Alongside people dipping their toe into community action.
Most importantly for us also sharing some fantastic examples of how wellbeing and community initiatives can go hand in hand.
We will share the positivity that community action brings to your neighbourhood plus yourself. Likewise hopefully inspiring you and each other.

Eden Communities aim is to improve the happiness and wellbeing of people across the UK. By helping to build more resilient and better connected communities.
They support and encourage people all over the UK to take positive actions. That strengthen local connections and build stronger communities.
They bring people together to build their confidence and grow and share their talents. Supporting individuals and communities as they create positive change to tackle local issues that matter to them most.
Grow Wild and Wellbeing
Grow Wild is the national outreach initiative of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (Kew).
The programme takes Kew’s message outside the walls of our two botanic gardens, reaching new and different audiences.
Supported by the Big Lottery Fund through National Lottery Funds, and through private and public contributions.
Through Grow Wild, Kew is inspiring millions of people to grow as a group. Get active, learn about and engage with nature, and give back through volunteering. All of which
consequently improve health and wellbeing. Likewise improving urban and unloved spaces across the UK.
What are the Five ways to wellbeing?
Five simple things we can all do to give our wellbeing a boost.
The Five ways to wellbeing are a set of evidence-based messages. Aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing of the whole population.
They have been developed by the New Economics Foundation. From evidence gathered in the Foresight Mental Capital and Wellbeing project (2008).
The messages have been organised into five key actions. Each offering examples of more specific behaviours that enhance wellbeing.
They aim to prompt us into thinking about those things in life which are important to wellbeing and could be included in our day to day routines.
