Voluntary Arts Week takes place each May, in cities, towns and villages across the UK and Republic of Ireland. It’s a chance for people to get creative – sharing what they already do, or trying something new for the first time.
Creativity comes in many forms, from music and singing or visual art and craft to digital art and even cooking or gardening. However you choose to express yourself, you can take part in Voluntary Arts Week between 6-15 May 2016.

Voluntary Arts Week – what’s it all about?
Each week, thousands of volunteer-led cultural groups meet across the UK and Republic of Ireland. They’ve discovered it’s a great way to learn new things, have fun, meet people, share skills and feel good!
Voluntary Arts champions and promotes this wonderful creative activity, and to give it a moment in the spotlight, coordinates the Voluntary Arts Week festival every May. During this special week, we encourage creative groups of all kinds to showcase what they do and invite newcomers to join them. For those running events, we have tons of helpful resources and advice in the form of toolkits and publicity material.
Events across the UK and RoI are listed on the Voluntary Arts Week website, so people can search for something happening near them. Voluntary Arts also works with a range of partners and media to help spread the word about Voluntary Arts Week and groups taking part in it. These include BBC Get Creative, Making Music and Festival of Museums.
So if you want to attract new people to your group feel part of a nationwide celebration, then get involved!
