Heart of Prestatyn

Working in the heart of our town is exciting, rewarding, fulfilling and sometimes exhausting.

We are delighted with the way May 2016 is developing, being located in the heart of our town is starting to pay dividends.

This week’s Dementia Friends training sessions have been very well attended. With over 75 people now “friends” in Prestatyn.

All part of working towards making Prestatyn a Dementia Friendly community.

We enjoy collaborating with other voluntary groups in our locality. We have also been working with  Friends of Prestatyn Railway Station recently.

Our involvement with Healthy Prestatyn Iach is constantly developing. They are an innovative primary care NHS service absolutely committed to providing the best, person-focused, experience possible.

Team members have attended Dementia friends training. We have met a lot of the new staff. Particularly the Occupational Therapists who have taken great interest in all of our activites.

Yes it has been tiring. But so rewarding this month. We have a lot of idea’s in the pipeline. The team are looking forward to the next few months with excitement as things develop. Including our Grow Wild and Dementia gardens 🙂
