Health 4 All – Get active to promote your own physical and mental well-being!
That’s the message from the team in Healthy Prestatyn/Ruddlan Iach and Vale of Clwyd Mind.
Who are Co-Producing with Artisans Collective CIC to stage a fun Health 4 All event. Being held on Friday, 14 October. In and around Prestatyn’s Old Library on Nant Hall Road.
Whatever your age or circumstance there will be an opportunity to sample and get involved in activities with the ‘feel good’ factor.
Would you like to get involved with a choir, strum a guitar or beat some drums?
You can use some energy in a dancing, cycling, walking group or enjoy armchair aerobics.
Make use of your spare time through volunteering opportunities or growing vegetables at a local allotment.
Make friends and learn skills through Men’s Sheds or find out more about learning opportunities at local libraries or college.
Dementia Friendly Community Prestatyn will also be holding a Dementia Friends awareness session at 3pm.
This and much more will be available for you to test as part of a fun-filled activity day.
So we hope that this event will encourage local people not only to enjoy the day. But to get involved in enjoyable activity regularly.’
Phil Williams, Director of Vale of Clwyd Mind said: ‘It is well-known that physical activity can have major benefits on mental well being.
This event could be a real boon for local people – especially being held during World Mental Health Week’.
Anyone can come along and join in the fun.
